Decline in my english language skills

Slowly over the number of years, my english skills has been deteriorating each passing day. Not quite sure how this happened. There has been a loss of vocabulary and grammer, even the occasional spelling mistake has been popping up. Perhaps the lack of reading academic books. Maybe I should start writing more on this blog in order to improve my english language skills. I am also intending to improve my Chinese language skills and vocabulary. But unlike my english language skills, my Chinese language skills has improved over the years.

A close friend had always teased me about my "Canadian English" and the use of "broken english". I would never in a million years admit to being Canadianized much less adopting Canadian english but to my dismay, this indeed is happening to me. Slowly, slang words replace the actual words for certain items, adjectives mostly.

Sorry honey I am too busy

More and more often I am hearing "I'm busy now, I will call you later". I know he is busy with real work however, why do I feel anxious and neglected. I wonder if he will start to forget me soon. When you do not spend more time getting to know one another, you start to distance your partner. I need an emotional connection. I need him to make the time for me.

Am I important to you? Do you notice that I am alive? I know u care a great deal for me but lately I am not feeling that. All I hear is busy busy busy.

Trip to China

My trip to China was eye-opening. I did not know what to expect and I was served with a kaleidoscope of food, taste, lifestyle, and people. Everything seem to be in your face. It is a very lively country with a hugely multicultural populus which I never expected. There are supposedly 50 or so minorities in China and each have their own language, set of customs and culture which are drastically different than the mainstream Chinese Culture. Cheap massages, cheap food, cheapdvds, cheap shopping what can I say. All in All a Trip Well Vacationed.

Pepper Leaves

Over the weekend, I was grocery shopping at a Chinese supermarket and came upon these vegetables which I have not seen before. They were called Pepper Leaves. Any food item that has the "Pepper" word in it intrigues me. So I bought it. Took it home. Then I realized I do not know how to cook these "Pepper Leaves". Naturally, I browsed on Goggle to see what I can do with Pepper Leaves. Well, we will see what I can with it. Thoughts of pickling it came up. I love to eat pickles.
